SOForest divides design research and development into four phases: Fallowing, Sowing, Cultivation and Harvesting.
In the Fallowing phase, we call on our client to stop and jump out to inspect and analyze the problems they are facing, and look for opportunities for disruptive innovation and new positioning.
In accordance with the problems founded in the previous phase, the Sowing phase is to select new design ideas, hoping to set up strategy for design sowing, thereby to decide the seeds to sow (the subjects to design).
After sowing the seeds (design subjects), the subsequent maintenance and improvements are needed. A sound business model and operational strategies are introduced to enable sustainable business operation and a healthy growth of the design in the industry.
The design idea has grown from a seed (a pure concept) into a tree (a business entity), or even a forest (an industry). The goal has thus been reached. At this last phase, it is reasonable and practical to conduct brand upgrading, listing, capital increase, reselling or continue sustainable development in any form based on the company’s next target.
